Jared A. Sorensen is a writer and game designer based in New York City. Jared’s previous employers and clients include: Mattel Interactive, Atari, LucasArts, Propaganda Studios, Green Ronin, White Wolf, Tilted Mill Entertainment, Turbine, Chimera Creative and Hidden City Games. In addition to working in the industry, hes’s been producing his own games since 1997 and was a contributor to several websites and ‘zines including RPG.net, Indie-RPGs.com, Flames Rising, and Daedalus.
Luke Crane is a multiple Origins award-winning game designer living in New York City. He designed and published critically acclaimed and controversial underground roleplaying games including the Burning Wheel, Burning Empires and the Mouse Guard RPG. At Hidden City Games, Luke wore the hat of designer and producer.
Jared and Luke first worked together as senior designers at Hidden City Games in Seattle, WA from 2007-2009, where they co-designed the FreeMarket RPG and designed casual games for the Bella Sara brand. They then went on to work with Propaganda Games as writers and quest designers for Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned. They’ve taught game design at NYC public schools, attended Gen Con and other conventions as Guests of Honor and lectured on game design and independent publishing in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. In 2010, they joined forces to start a game design studio and consulting firm under the banner of Sorensen/Crane.
